Asm materials science teacher camp!

So some of you students out for summer break are probably doing some very interesting things! I'd love to know what YOU are up to!

Teachers do summer camps too, if you did not know. I just completed a week long summer workshop with the American Materials Society and US: we studied the science of materials and how to engineer them for various uses!

You ever make slime ? Well that's a polymer : we made polymers and learned ways scientists and engineers are using polymers to make stuff. ( plastic bags, sneakers, your yoga pants - all polymers!)

We crushed stuff , heated stuff and tested stuff!) it was a great science experience and I can't wait to share it with my students! ( you!!)
